After a reasonable flight we arrived straight on the bus. We headed straight for the blue lagoon, a calming scene of water which was both relaxing and enjoyable for us to bath in. This calming area of hot springs was situated right next to chemical plant. A strange mixture of scenes, on one side the churning of smoke from chimneys and on the other a calming bathing area. The blue lagoon was cleverly named by the mesmerising shade of water. This opaque water stopped anything being seen underneath. Clay silica was used as a facial mask which allowed us to us our creative sides with stripes and camouflage others coated their whole bodies. Unfortunately we could not spend a great deal of our time in the blue lagoon, but we certainly made the most of it. After a journey back on the bus we arrived at our hotel. We were lucky to stay in very nice accommodation and later on myself and a group of other went into Reykjavik with Mr. Dalton. We visited some beautiful pieces of art, some which had the same architectural similarities to the giants causeway. The Harpa centre was an incredible building which cleverly used different plates in shapes like hexagons and rectangles and placed them overlapping each other creating an illusion. This building was very tall and had many flights of spiral staircases.
After a very busy and enjoyable day we were rearing to go for out next challenge tomorrow, we just needed some sleep first.
