We've landed and taken over the Blue Lagoon!

Just to let you all know that we have arrived safe and sound in Iceland. Manchester was interesting, as a number of pupils forgot little things like aerosols, sun cream, hair jels etc all need to be either out in a clear bag or under 100ml.....  So once the bag searches revealed that nobody was up to anything terrible, I am very pleased to say we got to Iceland in one piece!

We were reunited with our excellent tour guide from last year, David Kelly and although gloriously sunny up above the clouds, we arrived to melting snow from yesterday and a cold drizzly rain.

Once we were packed onto the bus, we headed straight out for the Blue Lagoon, which is where all of the pupils are now, as I sit and type this up.  They were all very well prepared with their swimming costumes and towels, so no hold ups and straight into the water.

Just two photos at the moment, but after dinner tonight, the pupils will be adding their blog entries and we will post more photos up.

  1. Hi, Great to hear that all's well and the water is warm. One thing though, the photos will not open. I've done a quick search on the web and it looks as though it is a result of copying and pasting the photos into the blog, with the browser that is being used. It results in an address for the photo which contains a 'webkit-fake-url' element, which appears to work on the local browser (so you can see it) but does not work for anyone else. Haven't found a fix though - the sites I've looked at just say don't load photos that way :( I'll post if I find anything - or maybe someone else a bit more IT literate can pick this up...Paul Kelsall
